If you’re wondering about me and the technological credentials I have, the truth is… None. I am actually somewhat illiterate when it comes to most things computer related. I know the basics and I research the rest. I have a biology degree and a masters degree both of which I am not currently using. I have been a stay-at-home mom to my three kiddos full time for the last two years. However, I love to research. If there is a topic that I am interested I will look high and low to find out everything I can.
I have an 8-year-old boy who loves the Nintendo switch, talking with his friends on the Kindle fire tablet and all things Minecraft. My five-year-old boy also loves the Nintendo switch and playing games with Alexa, I often walk into his room and find him playing Simon says, listening to interactive stories or music. My two-year-old girl loves screaming “ALEXA” and listening to music we play for her on one of the echos.
During my time at home I have found that being a mom is hard! My kids have a lot of devices. They always have access to some and others I try to limit their time. Others, I even encourage them to use more. The one thing in common with all of them is I have very little knowledge about how they work. This has led me to hours and hours of research and the idea to start this blog.
If you are a mom, or dad, grandparent, nanny or anyone with access to kids and lost in the world of tech then you are in the right place. This blog was created for you!
